1. Definition
A valve is a pressure piping component. It is a device used to change the section of the pipeline and the flow direction of the medium, and to control the pressure, flow, and temperature of the conveying medium.
It has the functions of diversion,interception,regulation,prevention of backflow, diversion or overflow and pressure relief. It is widely used in all major fields of the national economy and is an important equipment for oil, natural gas, petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, water and other industries.
2. Industry analysis
my country's valve industrial production started relatively late. It was only in the 1960s that the development of single-seat valves, double-seat valves and other products began, mainly imitating the products of the former Soviet Union, after the introduction of the research and development period, and the rapid development period, it is currently in the transition stage.
In recent years, the number of new valve manufacturing enterprises in my country has gradually increased, showing an increasing trend. Since 2010, there has been an average annual increase of about 670. Among them, the growth rate was the highest in 2018, with 890 related companies newly added in a single year. As of July 30, 2021, a total of 232 new companies will be added in 2021. Jiangsu and Zhejiang have the most valve manufacturing companies. Among them, there are 3735 and 3697 valve manufacturing related enterprises in Jiangsu and Zhejiang respectively, ranking first and second in the country.

As of the end of 2020, the market scale of China's valve manufacturing industry has jumped to the second place in the total global market scale, reaching 17%, second only to the 27% market share of the United States.
B. The total import and export volume in 2020 is the fifth in the world, exceeding 4 billion U.S. dollars
According to the international trade data disclosed by the United Nations, the total value of my country's valve import and export trade is 4.276 billion US dollars, accounting for 4.14% of the total global valve trade.
